I’m Shawn. You can also call me "Shuai" , which means young marshal in Chinese. This is my real name, not a nickname. I have always been a rebellious person. When my college classmates were preparing for bank, state-owned enterprises and even civil service exams, I submitted my resume to Tencent and moved to Shenzhen, just because I thought Internet companies were fun. For the same reason, I went to the Huawei 2012 Laboratory to build a new human-computer interaction system for smart terminals. I am eager to create new things that not only bring a sense of accomplishment, but also promote technological progress. I have had the experience of leading entrepreneurship, which gave me a deeper understanding of the role of entrepreneurs, and also allowed me to find the business that suits me best. As an atypical IT man, privately, I like street fashion, movies, street dance, and chasing star. I love basketball and I have been a huge fan of Kobe Bryant since I was in junior high school. I hope to be a producer in the future and be able to create good movies with excellent content.

With over a decade of experience in cloud computing, entrepreneurship, and work spanning mobile development, cloud services, and machine learning eras, I now focus on discovering and accompanying startups in the AI revolution from an entrepreneurial support perspective.

Since college, I have been committed to building China's open source technology community. As an active organizer in various tech communities, I serve as a Google Women Developer Ambassador, Google Developer Community Organizer, and founding member of Open Source Society. I also work as a guest AI editor for tech media, writing technical reports, interviews, and articles annually, and hosting various tech events.

In my personal life, I'm an enthusiast of extreme sports, photography, and natural history. I'm a certified ski instructor, international first responder, and registered organ donor. I'm also a veteran gamer with not-so-great skills.

Graduated from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, I’m a licensed chartered accountant in Canada. I was a senior auditor in the Shanghai branch of Ernst & Young and worked in Shanghai and Hong Kong for more than ten years. After that, I successively engaged in private equity investment in Yunyue Capital, Hong Kong Value Partners Group, Far East Horizon Capital and Singapore Siwei Capital. Not only was responsible for project investment and post-investment management, I was also responsible for finance work and compliance work. During the period, I contributed in different types of invested companies, I helped them in sorting out financial functions, participating in board meetings and assisting in the listing of invested companies.

I like challenging outdoor sports, such as snowboarding, rock climbing. I love traveling alone too.
